Hilary is a certified Reiki Master Teacher. She has trained in Reiki with Lourdes Gray, Ph.D, Master Teacher with a strong lineage in Usui Reiki (Reiki leve I, II, and II advanced) and with Laura West, M.ED, a Master Teacher with a strong lineage in both Usui and Jikiden Reiki (Master Teacher certification). She currently has her Reiki Master Teacher license in Usui Reiki (western) and is studying to become a Reiki Master in the Japanese style of Reiki (completion date, September 2016). She also has her certification in crystal healing, which she uses in conjunction with her Reiki practice. She brings her energies of intuition, meditation, and crystals to her Reiki practice to compliment and enhance her work. Hilary is passionate and excited about this practice and hopes to bring that joy and empowerment to the people she works with.
Reiki is a natural energy system that promotes healing of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energy that has become depleted or unbalanced, for various different reasons (stress, illness, injury, etc.). What reiki typically accomplishes is a sense of relaxation, calm, rejuvenation, and peace. Although reiki is a subtle biofield energy, which exists in the universe, it was developed into a practice in the 1920’s by Mikao Usui. He created a system for how to work with the energy to help aid in various healing processes. In short, reiki is transmitted through a practitioner to a client by laying hands on different parts of the body.

Each session is tailored to the needs of the client depending on the various needs of the individual. If the session is taking place in my office you can expect to find a safe, private, comfortable space that lends itself to energy healing.

Crystals will be chosen to compliment the specific healing you are looking to gain. Each crystal has specific properties and qualities that aid with different problems or issues. The energy of crystals will be amplified by the reiki energy. Crystals have long been used for healing purposes. Each crystal variety has an internal structure that causes it to resonate at a particular frequency. This resonance gives it its healing abilities. Applying the crystals to the body during a reiki treatment can help to amplify the body's restorative functions and balance the energy systems.
Distance Reiki is a just as powerful as an in person treatment. The process is virtually the same for me as the practitioner, with the exception that I connect to you through an energetic process that bonds us for the time of your treatment. For the client, you may lay down wherever you are or go about your day.
We can do a traditional distance session, or phone / Skype sessions if you prefer.
Scheduling Your Session
With few exceptions, distance sessions are held in the late afternoon/evening or on the weekends after your payment has been received in full.
Your 45 minute session consists of 30 minutes hands on treatment and 15 minutes of follow up to discuss the treatment thereafter. We can follow up via phone, Skype, or email.
When we pre-schedule your session it is important for you to share any concerns you would like me to focus on during the session.
I will start by scanning your body to determine the areas of greatest need (often the head, shoulders, chest and stomach). At times I will work with your chakra system if one or more areas seem to be depleted. If you have indicated a particular area of need, that will be an area focused on during the session as well.
You may experience the following: tingling, buzzing, heat, or coolness in different parts of the body. Any of these can occur in varying degrees depending on what is happening energetically within your body. All of these are perfectly normal and natural, signifying that your body is healing, detoxifying, and readjusting itself. Many people experience deep relaxation and peace during a session and thereafter.
Every time I have reiki with Hilary I leave feeling clearer and lighter. She always addresses my energy needs and takes my concerns seriously. She is professional and client centered. It is always a blessing to be a part of her practice.
I had no real understanding of reiki until Hilary worked on me. As a massage therapist I have always wanted touch, deep touch! But, working with Hilary I have been able to develop an appreciation for the importance of energy work. Talking through the sensations and changes I feel is always informative. As an avid body work receiver, I have worked regular reiki into my routine. I have learned, over time, to feel the energy shifts that inform the need for another treatment.
I have suffered with chronic knee pain for about 30 years. The first time Hilary worked on my knees I felt relief immediately. I walked better for days afterward. Even better I was not in pain! I will continue seeing Hilary because she takes my needs seriously and makes me feel better physically and mentally.
